Saikou Taper Line

The Saikou Taper Line is a one-piece tapered mono, with no sections and no knots joining different diameters. Unlike a traditional tapered leader you tie up yourself, the diameter taper is built into the line at the factory, so there's no knot linking the different sections of a hand-tied leader.

It spools straight onto the reel, running 250 metres in one continuous piece, meaning zero knots along the entire length. That means less friction through the rod guides on the cast and no weak point where a join used to be, which really shows the moment a big fish leans into the line.

The multicolour finish changes shade every 25 metres (clear, blue and red), so you can judge casting distance or depth by eye without needing any external markers, handy both in daylight and when watching the line at night. Available across several diameters and strengths, each reference ships on its own individual spool.
